Women's Fashion - How to Stay in Style For Less

Here are five great ways to spruce up your wardrobe without spending a lot of money.
Most women have noticed that times are tough and there is less money to go around. It is easy to get stressed when funds are low and it can be especially depressing when you grow tired of your wardrobe but have no means of purchasing a fresh look. But don't despair; there are still ways to keep you looking good without emptying your wallet.

Check out the following ideas for staying fashionable for less:

1. Go through your closet
Like most women, you probably have clothes you don't wear often and have even forgotten about. Well now is the time to do an inventory check of your wardrobe.

Most likely you will find forgotten treasures that will feel like new clothes again. Also, be creative and try to make your old clothes work in new ways. For example, add belt to that old black dress you found and you will have created a whole new outfit.

2. Shop second hand
Your local thrift store may become your favorite shopping spot. There are many great women's fashions hidden in the racks at thrift stores. You are sure to find many gently used clothes that usually cost less than ten or even five dollars.

After a careful search through the racks, you may walk out of a consignment store with a pile of new-to-you clothes for the same price that would only buy you one blouse from a department store. And don't worry; no one will know they are used if you don't tell them.

3. Throw a clothing exchange party
Throw a little party and invite some of your closest girlfriends with the charge to bring their old clothes they are tired of. At the party everyone can trade clothes and go home with different outfits.

This is a great way to freshen up your wardrobe with new clothes because one girl's trash is another girl's treasure. You'll have fun partying with your friends and then you'll leave with new-to-you fashions that you didn't even pay a dime for.

4. Stock up on the basics
When buying clothes, make sure that you stock up on the basics, meaning clothes that mix and match nicely and clothes that go well with anything. This means that instead of buying a cool but loud patterned blouse you would be better off buying a less crazy top that works well with more bottoms and most accessories.

Another example includes buying neutral shoes instead of the bright red pumps that only match one dress. Your wardrobe may not be as exciting and unique, but your wallet will be fuller and you will have less stress during these economically hard times.

5. Get creative and crafty
When you don't have the money to buy loads of new clothes, sometimes your only option is to get creative. Try things that you have never done before. Find some new funky buttons at your local craft store and sew them onto an old sweater to create a whole new look.

Try making your own jewelry; you can copy more expensive designs at a fraction of the cost or you can create your own unique pieces. Also ribbon is inexpensive and can be used to spruce up all sorts of outfits as headbands, belts, or whatever. Get in touch with your creative side and you'll be sure to save money and possibly start a new trend in women's fashion.

Sexy lingerie for your dream wedding day

Sexy bridal lingerie may at first glance seem to be an oxymoron. The wedding gown is, after all, a symbol of purity and innocence. Historically, many brides have chosen demure lingerie items that reflect the same innocence. As a practical consideration, some wedding gowns are quite bulky and unwieldy, leading the bride to select a bridal lingerie set that is designed to hold up the dress. Functionality is clearly an important consideration. Nonetheless, there is no reason not to choose beautiful and sexy bridal lingerie.

Types of Sexy Bridal Lingerie
It is possible to find sexy lingerie that is specifically designed for the unique needs of the bride. Whether your taste runs to the softly elegant or the bad-girl erotic, you are sure to find pieces that work for you.

There are bridal versions of nearly every type of lingerie. To provide the support necessary to carry a heavy dress, consider purchasing a bridal bustier. The solid construction of the bustier will add support while softly defining your body. Pair it with a pair of the highest quality stockings and a sexy garter belt. Add a bridal thong or other sexy panties for a complete set. While the traditional bridal colour is white, increasing numbers of brides are choosing black instead. Most gowns are heavy enough that the colour does not show through, and knowing that the black lingerie is underneath the innocent gown can be exciting for both the bride and groom.

If you wish to be a bit more daring, consider a bridal corset. The corset will shape your body dramatically, enhancing your curves while trimming your waist. Keep in mind, however, that the corset may become uncomfortable throughout the day, so lace it fairly loosely to provide plenty of breathing room.

Non-bridal versions of your favourite sexy lingerie styles may also work. However, bridal sets are normally designed to maximum both elegance and functionality underneath a gown that is typically much heavier than the average dress.

Choosing the Right Bridal Lingerie
Before committing to a specific piece of sexy bridal lingerie, try it on with your wedding gown. Certain styles will work better underneath specific gowns. This is also the time to look critically at the full effect and decide whether to add an additional item such as a girdle to your bridal undergarments.

Although both style and functionality are important, it is also crucial that your bridal lingerie be comfortable. Remember that you will be on your feet for many hours, dancing, eating and performing numerous activities. Sexy bridal lingerie should make you feel beautiful, not uncomfortable.

Putting It All Together
Sexy bridal lingerie is a terrific way to look and feel your best on your wedding day. From demure elegance to erotic appeal, today's bridal lingerie offers a wide variety of options. Choose pieces that are structured enough to support the dress, but soft and beautiful enough to make you feel truly sexy. It may take some work, but your wedding day is worth the trouble.

How To Dress Well Like A Celeb With A Tight Budget

Do you want to dress well like a celebrity but do not have deep pockets? Great, then here are some tips for you to take a quick look at:

- First of all, know your own figure and your own style. Do not follow trends that do not suit you. Most clothes look great on models like Kate Moss and Claudia Schiffer but do not look as good on us normal women! Remember how many items you bought on impulse last season? And you did not even wear them! Are they the wrong sizes? Wrong style or something you did not need at all?

- Look at your closet and make a list of things you already have and you really want to keep. Then make a list of the things that you really want and do you have. We girls like buying designer items to feel good, but that habit really hurts our wallets. Particularly when you go out shopping with a friend, you feel that you need to buy something to keep your head up. Buying from a list will keep you focused and minimise costly impulse buying.

- Buy the best quality of clothes and accessories that you can afford. This does not sound like a saving tip, but believe me, high quality clothes will simply look better, last longer, wear less, wash better and as a result, you will save more money than buying lots of inferior-quality pieces that will only last a few wears.

- For big items like suits, dresses, coats: buy classic styles. These will stand the test of time and not date as much as clothes bought from the latest trends. Whereas for small items like bags and accessories, buy the most trendy, fashionable ones so you look up to date and go for the brightest colours (they will not make you look fat!).

- Buy on sale whenever possible. You can grab the same piece for half or even less money just a few months after the celebrities. Nobody will tell you that it is out of fashion, just for a few months. You can grab yourself some really good bargains on the last few days’ of the sales in famous shops like Harrods and Harvey Nichols. And buy online, on Ebay if you are an Internet Savvy – Make sure that you do read the seller’s review and contact the seller before the sale to ensure the authenticity of goods.

- Swap small items like hats and bags with your best friends (of course, those with good taste only). There is no point in spending a lot of money on something you are only going to use once (Well, it will be embarrassing if you wear the same clothes to your important parties). So share them with your friends.

Ladies, dressing well does not have to cost a fortune. If you take a little time and a bit of thought to plan for your need, and treat buying your clothes like an investment.

Finding the Right Women’s Clothing Designers for You

by Wyatt Wilson

For much, much less you can look like a million dollars. The secret is knowing where to spend money and where to skimp. Not having a six figure income doesn’t mean you have to look cheap. There are plenty of ways to make your dollar go further.

Material

A lot of women’s clothing designers turn out beautiful clothes that are made in fabrics that need dry cleaning. This can cost serious money to clean. Think about it, you have to spend lots of money in dry cleaning bills in addition to the large amount you already spent on the actual clothing.

A great jacket that can be worn multiple times without dry cleaning is fine. Bad investments are everyday items such as day dresses, skirts, and pants that need dry cleaning regularly. Some of them can be hand washed, but you need to be careful and consider whether that hot this season must have from your favorite women’s clothing designers is worth the long term cost.

Must Haves For The Season

For comfort and style every season has certain things that you must have. You can make a great outfit with just one piece that comes from women’s clothing designers, what’s more it might not cost you much if you find the right discount designer womens clothing.

Basics never go out of style and they are inexpensive as well. You can wear a basic t-shirt, or tank top that might not even come up to ten dollars with expensive designer jeans that fit you great. This type of outfit makes you look wonderful. Other garments that are great to have are lightweight knits.

In the autumn you can layer knits on top of each other for warmth and style, in the summer you can wear just one over a tank top. Basic black is fantastic to have in your closet. Black never goes out of style and matches everything.

You can wear a black dress in the summer or winter. Black pants will never look out of place. Accessories are another thing you can save on. Pick up a great belt from a budget store and it won’t look out of place on your expensive shirt dress, or designer jeans.

Tips for Finding the Perfect Vintage Handbag

by Kim Allarie

Vintage handbags have made a comeback in a big way. In fact, it’s quite common to see celebrities carrying them at both special functions and for casual wear alike. Even if you’re not interested in imitating the stars, a funky vintage handbag will most certainly round out your collection of purses.

There is a huge assortment of vintage handbags to choose from. And frequently you can purchase one for a remarkably low price.

There are a number of things to look out for when purchasing this classic accessory. First, you should only deal with a reputable merchant that is known to sell authentic pieces and, at the same time, is fair and honest in its dealings.

You must also ensure that the item that you are thinking about purchasing is sturdy and is able to handle everyday use.

In addition, you must also determine if the bag is in good condition. If you notice stains or indications of deterioration on a prospective buy, you should pass it up. However, if the wear and tear is negligible, it might be possible to repair and restore it. Still, it is rarely a good move to purchase anything that needs a lot of effort to make it serviceable.

Another important consideration when it comes to purchasing a vintage handbag is to make sure that you are paying a suitable price for the bag. It should be priced according to its uniqueness, condition, rarity, and design. Make sure that you check out the level of workmanship that has gone into crafting the handbag.

Before you head to the checkout with your find, be sure that it actually qualifies as being vintage, and is not simply a used and discarded bag.

Another place to find out of the ordinary vintage handbags is on the internet. A Google search comes up with over 350,000 entries, so you’re sure to find something that will appeal to you. Of course, you’ll want to be sure the site is secure before handing over your credit card number.

With the vintage handbag’s classic design, it will always be in style, no matter what the era. If you love to adopt a traditional look in this contemporary age, and prefer wearing something that makes you stand out from the modern trends, a vintage handbag is for you. The vintage designs hold unfading popularity because of their classic and traditional approach.

how to dress for respect

Image Consultant Sandy Dumont asks: Have you ever been treated with less respect than you feel you deserve? Have you ever been kept waiting unnecessarily? If you answered "Yes" to either of these questions, you may be surprised to learn that it may have something to do with the image you project.

Change your Image if you want to be treated like a V.I.P. Believe it or not, the problem may be that you don't look important. In today's "business casual" world, we often look more like we're ready for a weekend getaway than for a workday. Think about it-would you keep a distinguished-looking business professional waiting? Would you treat him or her in a disrespectful fashion? Chances are you wouldn't, because the person looks important. We treat important people respectfully, even preferentially.

As an Image Consultant of over 30 years, my clients report that changing their image results in dramatic, "overnight" differences in the way they are treated at the grocery store, the drugstore and the hardware store - not just at the office. They find that they are suddenly given deferential treatment and increased respect. In a sense, they are "noticed" instead of being treated like "everyone else." Want to test out my theory? Here are the basic ingredients: Look as polished and professional as possible - from head to toe. Messy hair, in particular, will prevent you from looking polished and professional. Wear authoritative clothing and colors.

Darker colors give more authority than pale colors; and stylish-looking suits immediately suggest clout. Women: wear bolder earrings and other accessories. But, remember, you want to look like you are going to a board meeting, not a bridge game.

Men: bring out the "power ties" - not the pink one or the one with little pictures of Mickey Mouse all over it.

Stand up straight and tall. Good posture implies that you are a person of "stature." Next time you're about to venture out to the grocery store, trade in your usual jeans and T-shirt for your best suit and tie - and see what happens. Going on a business trip? Avoid your usual comfy jogging attire. Instead, dress up as if you were going straight to an important business meeting, and see what happens. I find that I always get superb service when I'm "dressed," but am easily ignored when I dress for comfort. Here's a vivid example: on a recent overseas flight, I asked the flight attendant for a glass of champagne.

She advised me that it was not available in tourist class. Then, she looked at me again and immediately reconsidered. She said, "Wait just a minute. I'll get you some from first class." She then proceeded to bring me not one, but two, glasses of champagne! I can only assume she thought I looked important enough to have my request fulfilled! So give it a try. Your newfound status may surprise you! You may even score a free glass of champagne, at the very least.
